  • Reduction in overall cost to manufacture and Increase market share.

  • The current LNT and LET2 cabs are of dated construction and design which no longer provides appropriate operator ergonomics or comfort.

  • the overall build quality of the cab and cab doors does not support the image of Battle Motors.

  • the current LNT cab profile will not accommodate the new class 4 and 5 chassis in development, so a cab over engine style cab is needed.

IDEATION

  • The front design was based on the dual headlights.

  • The Battle logo was placed on the front to provide balance while also conveying strength.

  • Three different types of doors were considered.

  • Considering its primary use as a UTILITY TRUCK, efforts were made to ensure good visibility for the driver, as well as to carefully position the lighting and reflectors.

  • Design efforts were focused on enhancing the driver's convenience.

REFINEMENT

  • Through collaboration with specialized manufacturers in each field, we established the overall framework among various designs.

  • Within that framework, we created a variety of designs through both large and small design changes.

  • Made adjustments to key points such as the grille, accent pieces, sun visors, and door handles, striving to find the best design.

FINAL DESIGN

  • The overall dimensions of the cab are 84”W x 77.5”H x 64”D.

  • The front grill, which was the most challenging aspect, was inspired by the 1950s Chevy truck.

  • Removed the sun visor to provide the driver with a wider field of vision and added more lights, considering the utility truck’s needs.

  • As the cab size increased compared to the previous LNT and LET models, I added an interior step to assist the driver, which would be concealed when the door is closed.

  • The headlights and signal lights were sourced from models under an existing contract with the vendor.
